RI has secured the pre-release rights to the movie “The Duke” as the Polio Movie Fundraiser for 2021. As a District event, DFC 9455 Greg Thurston has asked me, as District TRF Fundraiser Chair, to organise the screening of this event. As in the past, the Greater Union Cinema at the Morley Galleria has kindly agreed to the screening on SUNDAY DECEMBER 5 , at 6.45pm. Attached is the movie poster and a brief on this British comedy, which I am sure will attract a large audience and bring a moment of cheer to all. I request that you ensure the event is presented to all club Presidents and Foundation Chairs, and that you encourage maximum attendance by Rotarians and friends. This calendar year there have been only TWO cases of Polio recorded to date, so we really are ‘this close’ to eradication. Let’s finish the task ! |
